Have you ever wondered what life had in store for you or for the ones you love?

A year ago my aunt was diagnosed with cancer. She's fought hard, and has had chemo twice. But now the doctors tell her that it has spread throughout her body and that she only has a year to live. What kind of unfeeling idiot does it take to tell a person this?

My aunt (who shall from now on be Soccer Mom) is the most amazing person I know. Mother of 3, grandmother of 3, my godmother. She's the soccer mom that cheers the loudest, shows her support, and her love for you. My aunt was the one who took me to the hospital when I was in the sixth grade because my mom was stuck at work, what you don't realize however was that it was her birthday. I ended up having a fracture in my right wrist.

Anyway, back to those "unfeeling idiots". What person in their right mind will tell a sick person that they have a year to live? Don't they realize what that will do to a person? Don't they realize that the mind has the power to destroy the body?

I am fore warning the skittish to skip this paragraph. In some foreign country some people did a study, where they told the prisoners to put their hands through these holes in the wall. They then went on to tell them that they were going to slit their wrists, and make them bleed to death. What they really did was poor warm water over the prisoner’s hand. And guess what? THEY DIED!!! All seriousness, they are dead from the experiment in which no blood was spilt.

This just goes to show the power the mind has over the body. When a doctor stupidly tells a patient that they have only so long to live the mind and body go into a state of shock. Then the depression sets in. The person has given up the fight that they didn't even know that they could challenge.

I have a friend (Psychic from here on) who used to be a nurse. A patient of her's came in with some unknown sickness. The patient didn't cover her mouth when coughing and spared what she had to Psychic, another nurse and patient. The original patient and the other nurse both took western medicine and both died. Psychic and the second patient took alternative medicine and both lived. They were given two months to live. I am very happy to say that this was over a decade ago and Psychic is still alive. They still don't know what she had but what is really important was that she fought and found other ways to stay alive.

So if you know someone who is in a similar position as Soccer Mom find a way to help them. The fight isn't over just because some idiot with a medical degree isn't smart enough to help them.

Never stop fighting, and live like you mean it.
